Privacy.

Last updated 24 October 2026

We run no analytics, no advertising pixels and no visitor tracking of any kind. The only personal data we hold about you is what you hand us yourself: the details you type into the booking form, or the contents of an email you send us.

Who we are

Whisia provides technology leadership and engineering services. For anything you send through this site, we are the data controller — we decide why it is held and what is done with it.

Reach us about anything on this page at [email protected].

Booking a call

The calendar on our contact section is an embedded booking page provided by Cal.com. When you book an intro call, you give Cal.com:

That booking reaches us as a calendar invitation and a confirmation email. We use it to hold the meeting, to prepare for it, and to follow up afterwards about working together. Cal.com acts as our processor for this, and their own privacy notice covers what happens inside their product.

The lawful basis is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract. You asked for a meeting; we need your details to hold it.

Writing to us

If you email [email protected], we keep the message and your address so we can reply and keep the thread straight. Nothing more happens to it.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no cookies of its own. The small number that do appear come from the booking embed and from the services that deliver the page, and each is either a security measure or needed to complete a booking you started:

NameSet byWhat it doesLasts
__cf_bmcal.comCloudflare bot filtering on the booking embed30 minutes
uidapp.cal.comKeeps your booking session together; set only once you reach the booking formUntil the browser closes
reserverUidapp.cal.comBrowser storage, not a cookie. Holds your chosen slot while you fill in the formUntil the browser closes
__cf_bm, _cfuvidpexels.comCloudflare bot filtering on the photographs used in the page30 minutes / session

Why there is no cookie banner. None of the entries above profile you, follow you between sites or feed any analytics. They are strictly necessary to deliver a page and a booking you explicitly asked for, which is the exemption in Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive. A banner would ask your permission for something no one needs permission for.

If we ever add analytics or advertising tooling, this section changes and a proper consent banner appears with it.

Who else sees anything

Loading this page contacts a handful of third parties, each of which necessarily sees your IP address and browser details in order to answer the request:

We sell nothing to anyone, and we share your details with no one for marketing.

How long we keep it

Booking details and correspondence stay with us while we are in conversation and for up to two years afterwards, so that picking a thread back up does not mean starting over. Where work goes ahead, records tied to the engagement are kept for as long as the relevant tax and contract rules require. Ask us to delete your details sooner and we will, unless we are legally required to keep them.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or the EU, you can ask us for a copy of what we hold, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive it in a portable form. Email [email protected] and we will deal with it within one month.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you are also entitled to complain to the data protection authority where you live or work.

Changes

If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. There is no archive of previous versions — the page above is always the current one.
